A SYDNEY magistrate is expected to deliver his verdict in the Vivian "Rex" Little child pornography case next Friday, having adjourned the case yesterday.

Police Superintendent Little, who was employed as a duty officer at Lake Macquarie several years ago, argued he should be acquitted because the prosecution had not done enough to prove its case.

Little's ex-wife Kathy Frost allegedly discovered the child pornography on computer disks at the Eleebana home they shared.

Little has represented himself at the Downing Centre Local Court this week.

He said the Police Integrity Commission had examined his laptop, work and home computers and failed to find child pornography on them.

He said there was "no direct evidence, apart from that of Ms Frost, the accused ever knew about the offensive images or had them in his possession".
